Herbal Green Peel Classic
Herbal Green Peel Classic is the full renewal treatment and the only one of the three methods that peels visibly. The herbal massage lifts the uppermost layers of the epidermis and shortens the skin's 28-day renewal cycle to five. Peeling starts on day three. A follow-up Finishing Facial appointment is part of the protocol.
One visit, then a required Finishing Facial on day five
A single appointment, then a follow-up Finishing Facial visit five days later once the shedding has run its course. That second visit is part of the treatment. Classic can be repeated about once a month, three weeks after the Finishing Facial.
Herbal peeling at full intensity. No acid, no device.
A herbal peeling treatment performed by hand. A certified esthetician massages a mixture of eight selected herbs into the skin at higher pressure and for longer than the other two methods, which is what makes Classic the one that peels. No acid, no abrasive particles, no machine. Performed under medical director Dr. Arledge, a plastic surgeon.
Face and neck, plus abdomen, upper arms and thighs
Face and neck, and body areas including the abdomen, upper arms and thighs, which is where Classic gets used for stretch marks and slackening skin. It works in the epidermis, so it will not lighten a tattoo or permanent makeup in the layer beneath.
Sun damage, wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, slackening skin
Sun-damaged skin and wrinkles, skin prone to early wrinkling, blemished skin and sebaceous cysts, scars and stretch marks, slackening skin on the abdomen, upper arms and thighs, and certain forms of hyperpigmentation. Classic is the method when you want visible renewal and can give it the recovery week.
28 days of skin turnover, compressed into five
How the herbal massage restarts skin renewal
Herbal Green Peel Classic is the full-strength version of the Original GREEN PEEL® herbal peeling method. A certified esthetician massages a mixture of eight selected herbs into the skin by hand, at enough pressure and for long enough to lift the uppermost layers of the epidermis. Schrammek Kosmetik describes the result as shortening the skin's usual renewal time from 28 days to five.
It is not an acid peel. There is no acid in the mixture, no abrasive particles, and no machine involved, and Schrammek Kosmetik states the treatment does not change the skin's pH. What it does have is a recovery week, which is the honest trade for the depth.
Classic differs from Energy and Fresh Up mainly in pressure and duration. Same herbs, more of them, worked in harder and longer.
What day one through day five looks like
Days one and two bring redness rather than shedding. Your provider sends you home with a tinted balm that covers it, so this part is manageable in public. Visible peeling starts on day three for most people and is largely complete by day five, after the Finishing Facial appointment.
How much you peel varies widely between people, and a light peel is not a failed treatment. Schrammek Kosmetik is direct about this: even when visible shedding is minimal, the renewal process underneath runs as intended.
The first rule of aftercare is the one clients break. Do not wash the treated area for the rest of the treatment day, because water rinses the herbs back out of the skin before they have finished working. Pat dry, never rub. Once the flaking starts, leave it alone. The old skin is protecting the new skin underneath and releases on its own when the new skin is ready, and picking it early is how people end up with marks that outlast the peel.
Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen every day and stay out of the midday sun while you heal. Fresh skin burns and marks easily, and sun afterward is the quickest way to undo the result or set off new pigment. You do not have to stay indoors for five days. Skip the sunbathing and the long walks at noon.

Why clients pick Classic over an acid peel
VISIBLE RENEWAL
The only one of the three methods that peels visibly, lifting the uppermost layers of the epidermis.
DEPTH WITHOUT ACID
Sits alongside our medical-grade ZO peel on depth while taking a completely different route to get there.
FIVE DAYS, NOT FOURTEEN
Schrammek Kosmetik puts TCA and phenol downtime at 10 to 14 days against Classic's five.
SCARS AND STRETCH MARKS
Used on the abdomen, upper arms and thighs for stretch marks and slackening skin, which facial peels do not reach.
A FINISHED PROTOCOL
The day-five Finishing Facial visit and the home-care set are part of the treatment rather than add-ons.

What your Herbal Green Peel Classic visit looks like
Your provider looks at your skin and confirms Classic is the right call before anything goes on your face. Then the skin is cleansed and the herbal mixture is massaged in by hand. Your esthetician works without gloves, which is simply what handling a botanical mixture looks like. Afterward the skin is covered and kept damp while the herbs work, then finished and you go home with the home-care set and instructions.
The massage brings tingling and prickling that tracks with the pressure being used. Classic runs at the highest pressure of the three methods and Schrammek Kosmetik calls it tolerable rather than relaxing, which is a fair description. There is no numbing cream and none is needed.
Then you come back. The Finishing Facial appointment on day five is when the peeling process gets closed out properly, and it is part of the treatment rather than an add-on.
Classic vs Energy, Fresh Up, and our acid peels
Where Classic wins and where a light peel wins
Against the other two GREEN PEEL® methods the difference is downtime. Energy uses the same herbs for regeneration without any shedding, and Fresh Up is a refresh you can book the week of an event. Neither goes as deep. Classic is the one you pick when you want visible change and can plan around a week.
Against our acid peels the difference is chemistry. The glycolic AHA peel brightens with very little downtime and is built for monthly repeats. The ZO 3-Step Peel is the medical-grade acid option and does more in a single visit. Classic sits alongside the ZO on depth while taking a completely different route to get there, which is the reason it exists on our menu at all.
For scale on recovery, Schrammek Kosmetik puts the downtime of a TCA or phenol peel at 10 to 14 days against Classic's five.

We’ve answered some of the most common questions below to help make your experience simple, transparent, and stress-free.
Classic is the full renewal treatment of the three GREEN PEEL® methods and the only one that peels visibly. A certified esthetician massages a mixture of eight selected herbs into the skin by hand at the highest pressure of the three. That lifts the uppermost layers of the epidermis and shortens the skin's usual 28-day renewal cycle to five.
What is Herbal Green Peel Classic?
Days one and two bring redness rather than shedding, and your provider sends you home with a tinted balm that covers it. Visible peeling starts on day three for most people and is largely complete by day five. How much you peel varies widely between people, and a light peel is not a failed treatment. Schrammek Kosmetik is direct about this: even when visible shedding is minimal, the renewal underneath runs as intended.
How much will I peel after Classic, and when?
The massage brings tingling and prickling that tracks with the pressure being used. Classic runs at the highest pressure of the three methods, and Schrammek Kosmetik calls it tolerable rather than relaxing, which is a fair description. There is no numbing cream and none is needed.
Does Herbal Green Peel Classic hurt?
Water rinses the herbs back out of the skin before they have finished working, so the treated area stays unwashed for the rest of the treatment day. Pat dry, never rub. Once the flaking starts, leave it alone. The old skin is protecting the new skin underneath and releases on its own when the new skin is ready, and picking it early is how people end up with marks that outlast the peel.
Why can I not wash my face on the day of treatment?
It is the follow-up visit on day five, once the shedding has run its course, and it is when the peeling process gets closed out properly. It is part of the treatment rather than an add-on. So is the home-care set you take home, which Schrammek Kosmetik states must be used consistently because the result depends on it.
What is the Finishing Facial appointment?
Any week that lets you give the peel five days. Classic sheds from day three, is heaviest on day four, and finishes with your Finishing Facial on day five, so pick a stretch that suits you. You do not have to stay indoors for any of it. Skip the sunbathing and the long walks at noon while you heal.
When should I book Classic?
About once a month. Schrammek's guidance is three weeks after your Finishing Facial, which puts the next Classic treatment roughly four weeks on from the one before it. Your provider confirms the interval for your skin at your consultation.
How often can I repeat Classic?
The difference is chemistry rather than strength. Our acid peels get their result from acid; Classic gets a comparable depth from herbs and pressure. The ZO 3-Step is the medical-grade acid option and does more in a single visit. For scale on recovery, Schrammek Kosmetik puts TCA and phenol downtime at 10 to 14 days against Classic's five.
How does Classic compare with a ZO 3-Step or TCA peel?
Yes. Schrammek Kosmetik lists Classic for scars and stretch marks, and for slackening skin on the abdomen, upper arms and thighs. That body application is one of the few non-device options for stretch marks on our menu. Classic works in the epidermis, so it will not lighten a tattoo or permanent makeup sitting in the layer beneath.
Can Classic treat stretch marks or scars?
No, and nobody should tell you otherwise. Schrammek Kosmetik's claim is that Classic addresses certain forms of hyperpigmentation, and that hedge is deliberate. Melasma can be lightened but not cured, it recurs, and heat makes it worse. If pigment is your main concern, read our melasma and hyperpigmentation page and talk it through before booking anything.
Will Classic clear my melasma?
