NAD+ Therapy in Lubbock, TX

A $75 NAD+ wellness injection in Lubbock, given as a quick shot rather than an IV. The cellular biochemistry is real; we are honest that the human benefit evidence is still emerging.

How long an NAD+ appointment takes

The injection itself takes only a few minutes, which is why most people add it onto another visit. A loading-phase package spaces several injections closer together at the start for anyone who wants that.

What kind of treatment is NAD+ therapy?

A subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of NAD+, given in-office by our nurse practitioner or RN. We do not offer IV NAD+ infusions.

Where we inject NAD+

NAD+ acts throughout the body rather than on one spot. The injection is placed in the arm or abdomen; the coenzyme itself works systemically once it is in.

Who NAD+ therapy is for

Chosen by adults as general wellness support, not to treat any diagnosed medical condition. Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. A consultation comes first.

Our NAD+ Therapy Services

A coenzyme your cells use for energy and repair

What is NAD+ therapy?

NAD+ is short for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a coenzyme that sits inside every cell you have. Its main job is energy. When your mitochondria turn food into ATP, the fuel a cell actually runs on, NAD+ is one of the molecules ferrying electrons through that process. It gets used, recycled, and used again thousands of times a day. Without enough of it, the chemistry that keeps a cell powered starts to stall.

NAD+ does more than move energy. It also feeds the enzymes your cells rely on for upkeep and repair, including the sirtuins and the PARP proteins that step in when DNA is damaged. And here is the part that draws people to it: NAD+ levels fall as we age. Studies put the drop at roughly half between your twenties and your fifties. That decline, and the biochemistry behind it, is well established and not really in dispute.

What is far less settled is whether topping NAD+ back up changes how you feel or how you age. People ask us about energy, mental focus, recovery after hard training, and general wellness. Those are fair questions, and NAD+ is one of several options we walk through on our wellness and hormone therapy menu. We would rather tell you plainly where the science is solid and where it is still thin than sell you a promise.

What to expect from NAD+ therapy

The injection itself takes about 5 minutes. Some patients feel mild flushing or warmth during the injection. This fades within minutes. Mild tenderness at the injection site is normal for a few hours.

No downtime. You can return to normal activity immediately. Effects are typically noticeable within 24 to 48 hours and build with consistent use over 4 to 6 weeks.

Stay hydrated. Most patients book weekly or every other week. Some prefer monthly maintenance after building a baseline with more frequent dosing.

Inside a NAD+ therapy appointment

At The Spa, NAD+ is given as an injection, not an IV drip. Each injection is $75, and we offer a loading-phase package for anyone who wants a closer series to begin with. The shot itself takes only a few minutes. You can add it onto another appointment or book it on its own.

Your injection is handled by our medical team: nurse practitioner Becca (MSN, FNP-C) or registered nurse Angie, working under our medical director, Dr. Arledge, a plastic surgeon. We have offered wellness services like this since we opened in 2016. Before a first NAD+ visit we go through your health history, your medications, and what you are actually hoping to get out of it, so expectations are set before any needle comes out.

Now the honest part. The biochemistry of NAD+ is real. The reasoning behind replacing some of what age takes away is plausible. But strong human proof is not here yet. Most of the clinical research so far looks at oral precursors, the supplements NR and NMN, rather than injected NAD+, and a lot of the encouraging work is preclinical, done in cells and animals. No randomized trial has shown that NAD+ reverses aging, restores energy on demand, or treats a medical condition in people. Reviewers who study this field say the same thing: the benefits are still being worked out.

When people ask what to expect, here is how we frame it:

  • The molecule and its age-related decline are settled science.
  • Any effect you personally feel is not guaranteed, and it varies from person to person.
  • Most human evidence to date studies oral NR and NMN, not injected NAD+.
  • It is wellness support, not a fix for a diagnosed medical problem.

So keep your expectations grounded. If you would like to weigh NAD+ against other options first, our B12 skinny shot and our GLP-1 weight management program sit on the same menu, and a consultation is the cleanest way to sort out which one, if any, fits what you are after.

Most clients feel benefit within 24 to 48 hours

Before your first NAD+ session

Side effects from a NAD+ injection tend to be mild and brief: some redness, tenderness, or a short sting where the needle went in, and once in a while a little nausea, flushing, or lightheadedness. You may have read that NAD+ causes chest tightness, flushing, and nausea. That reputation comes from IV NAD+ infused too fast, where some of it converts to nicotinic acid and sets off the same flush niacin is famous for. Because we inject rather than infuse, we sidestep the fast-drip problem. Still, tell your provider right away if anything feels off during a visit.

A few people should hold off entirely. NAD+ has not been studied in pregnancy or breastfeeding, so we do not offer it if you are pregnant or nursing. If you take regular medications or manage a health condition, raise it at your consultation so we can talk it through. Large, long-term safety data on injectable NAD+ simply do not exist yet, which is one more reason we screen first and answer questions straight.

After your appointment, see our injection aftercare guide for step-by-step recovery instructions and what to expect.

VIP members save 10% on every visit.

One last thing to be clear about. A NAD+ injection is a wellness add-on, not a treatment for any diagnosed condition, and it is no substitute for care from your own physician. We do not bill or accept insurance for it. If that framing suits what you want, you can book online or call us at (806) 701-5840, and you can see how NAD+ sits alongside the rest of our wellness and hormone therapy services before you commit to anything.

FAQ

Your questions,  answered

We’ve answered some of the most common questions below to help make your experience simple, transparent, and stress-free.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme present in every cell in your body, critical for energy production, DNA repair, and cellular signaling. NAD+ levels decline with age and stress. Boosting NAD+ supports mitochondrial function, energy, mental clarity, athletic recovery, and metabolic health.

What is NAD+ and what does it do?

We offer NAD+ as a subcutaneous injection—a quick shot rather than a multi-hour IV. Subcutaneous NAD+ delivers similar benefits to IV without the time investment or the discomfort some patients experience with NAD+ IVs. Most patients feel benefits within 24–48 hours.

How is NAD+ administered?

Common reported benefits: increased energy, improved mental clarity and focus, better mood, improved sleep quality, faster recovery from exercise, and overall sense of well-being. Some patients notice subtle changes; others notice dramatic improvement. Response varies with baseline NAD+ levels, age, and lifestyle.

What benefits will I notice from NAD+?

Most patients start with weekly injections for 4–6 weeks to build levels, then drop to every 2–4 weeks for maintenance. Patients with high stress, athletic training, or specific recovery needs may benefit from more frequent dosing. We'll customize the schedule based on your goals.

How often should I get NAD+ injections?

Mild stinging during injection (NAD+ itself has some pH-related sensation). Lasts seconds. The injection takes a moment. Most patients tolerate well. If you've had NAD+ IV before and found it uncomfortable, the subcutaneous version is generally much better tolerated.

Does NAD+ injection hurt?

NAD+ Therapy is $75 per injection. Package pricing available for the loading phase. Membership pricing reduces per-injection cost.

How much does NAD+ cost in Lubbock?

NAD+ is a naturally occurring molecule in your body—supplementation is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. Side effects are typically limited to brief flushing or warmth during injection. Patients with certain medical conditions should discuss with their provider before starting.

Is NAD+ safe?

Indirectly. NAD+ supports cellular processes that decline with age—particularly DNA repair, mitochondrial function, and sirtuin activity (proteins involved in longevity pathways). Research is actively expanding in this area. Patients often report 'feeling younger' in terms of energy and recovery, which is the practical anti-aging benefit.

Can NAD+ help with anti-aging?

Oral NAD+ supplements (like NR or NMN) have limited absorption—much of an oral dose is broken down in digestion before reaching cells. Injection bypasses this and delivers usable NAD+ directly. Oral supplements have a role for general support; injections produce more dramatic and reliable effects.

Should I take NAD+ orally instead?

Book a wellness consultation. We'll discuss your goals (energy, recovery, cognitive support), determine whether NAD+ or another wellness service is the best fit, and design a schedule. Most patients add NAD+ to their existing wellness routine. Call (806) 701-5840 or book online.
