POST CARE GUIDE
Herbal Green Peel Classic Aftercare
Your Herbal Green Peel Classic aftercare in one line: no water on your skin for five days, use your Home Care Set, and come back on day five for your Post Green Peel Facial. Both the set and that follow-up are included in the price of your Classic. Classic is the only one of the three methods that peels visibly, and the five-day water rule is what decides whether it works — washing early rinses the herbs back out. This guide walks the five days in order: what goes on your skin, what the peeling actually looks like day by day, what to avoid, and what your Post Green Peel Facial does.
Five days, in order
What happens, and when
Here is the path from treatment day to final result.
Days 1 and 2
Redness, and no water
Days one and two bring redness rather than shedding. Your skin will feel tight, warm, and tender. No water touches the treated skin — Herbal Care Lotion on a cotton pad, morning and evening, is your only cleanser. Mix your Special Care Cream or Special Regulating Cream with Blemish Balm in equal parts and apply it two to three times a day. If anything feels off, call us at (806) 701-5840.
Days 3 and 4
The peel
Peeling usually starts on day three, and day four is the heaviest. Keep the skin covered with Blemish Balm and let every flake shed on its own — no picking, pulling, rubbing, or exfoliating. Wash and dry your hands before you touch your face, and sleep on a clean pillowcase while your skin is peeling. Still no water.
Day 5
Your Post Green Peel Facial
By day five, after your Post Green Peel Facial, the peeling is largely complete. That appointment is included in the price of your Classic at no extra charge, and the peel is not finished without it. From day six on, your skin is fresh, smooth, and unusually sensitive to sun — switch to your Optimum Protection Cream SPF 30 as your daily moisturizer.
What to do for the next five days
How to Care for Your Skin After Classic
Cleanse with Herbal Care Lotion only
Soak a cotton pad with your Herbal Care Lotion and wipe your skin morning and evening. This is how you cleanse for the next five days. No tap water, no other cleanser, no washcloths, no cleansing brushes, no rinsing under the shower stream. Let the water run over your back, not your face.
Special Care Cream with Blemish Balm, in equal parts
Mix your Special Care Cream or Special Regulating Cream with Blemish Balm in a one-to-one ratio and apply it to the treated areas two to three times a day, as needed. Blemish Balm is also your coverage while you are peeling — it stands in for makeup until the flaking is complete.
Let the flaking shed on its own
Do not pick, pull, rub, or exfoliate. The old skin is protecting the new skin underneath and comes away on its own when it is ready. Pulling it early is how people end up with marks.
Clean hands, clean pillowcase
Wash and thoroughly dry your hands before you touch your face. Sleep on a clean pillowcase while your skin is peeling.
Drink water, and let air reach your skin
Drink plenty of water or purifying herbal teas, and let air reach your skin.
Switch to SPF 30 from day five
Starting after day five, switch to your Optimum Protection Cream SPF 30 as your daily moisturizer. Freshly peeled skin burns and discolours far more easily than untreated skin, and unprotected sun is the quickest way to trade your result for new dark spots.
Use your Home Care Set
Your Classic Home Care Set comes with your treatment and contains everything the five days require: Herbal Care Lotion, Blemish Balm, Special Care or Special Regulating Cream, Optimum Protection Cream SPF 30, and Super Soft Cleanser. Schrammek is direct about this — the result depends on using it consistently.
Redness first, then the peel
What's Normal After Herbal Green Peel Classic
Normal, temporary, and part of the process.
Days one and two — redness
Days one and two bring redness rather than shedding. Your skin will feel tight, warm, and tender, and your provider covers the redness with a tinted balm before you leave.
Day three — peeling starts
Peeling usually starts on day three. How much you flake varies a great deal from one person to the next. A light peel does not mean the treatment underperformed, because the renewal underneath runs the same either way.
Day four — the heaviest day
Day four is the heaviest. Keep the skin covered with Blemish Balm and keep your hands off it.
Day five — largely complete
By day five, after your Post Green Peel Facial, the peeling is largely complete.
Day six onward — fresh and sun-sensitive
From day six on, your skin is fresh, smooth, and unusually sensitive to sun. Sunscreen every morning, without exception.
Through day five, and after
