OUR STORY

Built around you
not the trend.

Twelve years ago, Sheena opened a small treatment room in Lubbock with a single belief: medical-grade aesthetics should never feel transactional. That belief still runs everything we do.

DURATION

A European Facial at The Spa by Sheena lasts 60 minutes, with a fixed multi-step protocol that works for nearly any skin type and life stage.

PROCEDURE TYPE

The European Facial at The Spa by Sheena is classified as a cosmetic procedure, performed electively for skin maintenance rather than to treat a medical condition.

BODY AREA

The European Facial at The Spa by Sheena is performed on the face and covers double cleanse, exfoliation, steam, extractions, treatment mask, serum infusion, eye and lip treatment, and SPF.

INDICATION

The European Facial at The Spa by Sheena addresses general skin maintenance, dullness, and mild congestion, with most patients booking every 4 to 6 weeks for ongoing skin health.

THE PROTOCOL

What is a European Facial?

The European Facial is the classic standard. A 60-minute, multi-step protocol of cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, customized mask, serum, and hydrating finish. It's the right choice for general maintenance, regular care, and patients new to facials who want a reliable, well-established experience.

What to expect from a European Facial

Most facials run 30 to 90 minutes depending on type. You'll be in a relaxed setting. The aesthetician will discuss your skin, current routine, and any concerns. The facial itself is generally relaxing — some elements (extractions, certain masks) can feel briefly uncomfortable.

Mild redness is normal for 1 to 3 hours after, especially after extractions or stronger exfoliation. Some patients have brief breakouts ("purging") after a facial as deeper skin contents clear; this is normal and resolves within a few days.

Skip strong actives (retinol, AHA/BHA at home) for 24 to 48 hours. Use SPF. Drink water. Most patients schedule facials every 4 to 6 weeks for ongoing skin health.

FAQ

Your questions,  answered

We’ve answered some of the most common questions below to help make your experience simple, transparent, and stress-free.

A 60-minute classic facial with reliable, consistent steps: cleansing, exfoliation, steam, extractions if needed, mask, facial massage with serums, and SPF. The standard European Facial format has been used for decades because it works—reliable maintenance care for healthy skin.

What's a European Facial?

European Facial: same protocol every visit, predictable steps, classic format. Customized Facial: adapts each visit to your skin's current state, varying products and emphasis. European is for patients who like reliable consistency; Customized is for patients who want personalized variety.

How is the European Facial different from a Customized Facial?

Every 4–6 weeks. The classic European tradition is monthly facials—matches the skin's natural cell turnover cycle. Maintaining the rhythm produces consistent results over time.

How often should I get a European Facial?

60 minutes. Includes consultation, treatment, and finishing care.

How long is a European Facial?

$165. Members receive discounted pricing. Package and series discounts available.

What does a European Facial cost in Lubbock?

Yes if needed—comedones (blackheads/whiteheads) and minor clogged pores are addressed through professional extraction. Active inflamed acne lesions are NOT extracted (avoiding scarring). Patients with no extraction needs have a more relaxing version.

Will I get extractions during a European Facial?

Yes—it's designed to be both treatment and self-care experience. Includes facial massage, relaxing facial environment, calming aromas. Many patients book European Facials specifically for the relaxation element on top of skin benefits.

Is the European Facial relaxing?

Minimal. Mild redness for 1–2 hours after extractions or deeper exfoliation. Skip heavy makeup and direct sun for 24 hours. Don't pick at any small spots that may surface in days after.

What's the recovery after a European Facial?

Yes—we have pregnancy-safe modifications. Tell us at booking and we'll avoid retinoids, salicylic acid, and certain essential oils. Mechanical exfoliation and gentle products throughout.

Can I get a European Facial during pregnancy?

Book online or call (806) 701-5840. Most appointments available within a week.
