The Customized Facial runs about 60 minutes. First-time clients may want a few extra minutes to walk through their skin history before the esthetician builds the protocol. Because skin renews on roughly a monthly cycle, many people return every four to six weeks.

What is a Customized Facial?

The Customized Facial is our 60-minute facial built around what your skin needs the day you come in, and it is $195. Instead of the same fixed steps for everyone, your esthetician reads your skin first — oily or dry, congested or calm, reactive or steady — and then chooses the exfoliation, extractions, mask, and serums to match. It is the one to book when your skin changes week to week.

What to expect from your Customized Facial

The session is relaxing, with a few more focused minutes if extractions are needed or a stronger exfoliant is the right call. Mild redness for an hour or two afterward is normal and clears on its own.

Skip strong actives at home for a day or two — retinol and at-home acids — until your skin barrier is fully calm. Daily sunscreen matters most after any exfoliation. Many people come back every four to six weeks, roughly the pace skin renews itself, which is what keeps the results from fading between visits.

A facial is upkeep, not a cure. Deeper concerns — stubborn acne, real wrinkles, melasma, scarring — are better routed to peels, laser, or an injectable, and we will tell you plainly when that is the case. We do not promise a specific result from any facial. Every facial here is performed by a licensed esthetician under our medical director, Dr. Arledge, a plastic surgeon; the spa was founded by Sheena Klos, a CIDESCO Master Esthetician, and has been open in Lubbock since 2016. The hour opens with a skin assessment and a quick conversation about anything new — a product, stress, sleep, your cycle — since each of those shows up in your skin. From there: a double cleanse, an exfoliation chosen for your skin that day, extractions if your pores are congested and ready for them, a treatment mask matched to the main concern, serums, and a finish of hydration and sun protection.

A neck and shoulder massage is woven through the session. Most people find it the part that keeps them coming back. The whole visit runs about 60 minutes, with no needles and no downtime. Dermaplaning can be added if you want a smoother surface for makeup.

The European Facial ($165) runs a fixed classic protocol that suits steady skin and people who like a predictable session. The Customized ($195) adapts to what your skin is doing on the day, and goes where it is needed — more time on extractions when you are congested, a gentler route when you are reactive.

If you want a device-driven treatment instead, our Glo2 line is weighted toward hydration and glow. And for texture, scarring, or deeper skin-quality work that a facial cannot reach, microneedling is the better tool. A facial is maintenance; those go deeper.

If your skin shifts, or if you have specific concerns that move around, the Customized is what you want. Many clients alternate.

How much does a Customized Facial cost in Lubbock?

How often should I get a facial?

No — that is the entire point of customization. Skin changes with hormones, season, sleep, stress, and the products you are using at home. Each Customized Facial responds to your skin in front of us, not the skin we saw last month. Some visits emphasize deep exfoliation, some prioritize hydration, some focus on congestion and extractions. The consistency is your aesthetician, not the protocol.

Will my Customized Facial be the same every time?

Yes — and customization is exactly why it works well for sensitive skin. We can substitute gentler cleansers, skip mechanical exfoliation, use enzymatic alternatives, lower mask strength, and adjust serum concentration to what your barrier can tolerate. Mention any sensitivities, allergies, or recent flare-ups at booking so we can prepare the right setup before you arrive.

Is the Customized Facial safe for sensitive skin?

Yes — dermaplaning, LED light therapy, light chemical peels, and other targeted add-ons can extend the appointment. Your aesthetician will discuss what makes sense during the assessment based on your skin's current state and the goal of the visit. Add-ons are priced separately and added to the booking.
