Hyaluronidase (brand name Hylenex) is an enzyme injection that dissolves hyaluronic acid filler. We use it to dissolve unwanted filler—whether from overfill, asymmetry, migration, vascular complication, or simply changing your mind. Results within 24 hours.

Most common reasons: filler placed elsewhere that migrated or looks unnatural, overfill creating excess volume, asymmetry between sides, complications like vascular compromise (rare but urgent), or wanting to remove filler for personal preference. We also dissolve filler before re-treating an area to start fresh.

Hyaluronidase only dissolves hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers—the most common type. All the HA fillers we use (Restylane, Juvederm, RHA, and similar) dissolve with Hylenex. Non-HA fillers (Radiesse, Sculptra, permanent fillers) cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase—they require different management or simply waiting for natural breakdown.

Briefly and temporarily yes—Hylenex breaks down some of your natural hyaluronic acid in the treated area. Your body replaces it within days. You may notice slight under-eye hollowing for 1–3 days after dissolving in that area; resolves on its own.

Yes—we dissolve filler regardless of where it was originally placed. Bring documentation if available (what product, how much, when). If you don't know, we can still dissolve, but it helps us know what we're working with.
