triLift 2.0 Aftercare

POST CARE GUIDE

triLift 2.0 Aftercare

triLift 2.0 is two separate treatments, and they recover differently. The standard triLift treatment is muscle stimulation with surface radiofrequency: no numbing, nothing to wait out, makeup the same day. The triLift RF microneedling treatment uses the FibroBoost applicator under numbing cream to open micro-channels in the skin, and that one asks something of you for a few days — flushing that settles, sunscreen every morning, and a short break from active skincare. This guide covers both, so check which treatment you had before you follow it.

Your triLift 2.0 recovery at a glance

What happens, and when

Here is the path from treatment day to final result.

Same Day

Standard treatment: nothing to plan around

The standard triLift treatment is muscle stimulation with surface radiofrequency, and it leaves nothing to recover from. No numbing goes on, nothing is opened, and you can wear makeup and go straight back to your day. Many people notice a visible lift on the way out the door. That first result is temporary and settles over the next few days, so treat it as a preview rather than the outcome.

First 24 Hours

After the RF microneedling

The RF microneedling treatment is the one with something to wait out. Your skin will look flushed and feel warm for a few hours afterward. There is no bleeding. Keep the first day simple — a gentle cleanser, a plain moisturizer, sunscreen in the morning — and leave retinoids and acids out of your routine for a few days while the skin settles.

Five Weekly Sessions

Where the lift actually comes from

One session is a preview. The series is the result. Lumenis recommends five weekly sessions for the face and six for the body, and the improvement accumulates across them. Hold the weekly spacing if you can, because the gaps are part of the protocol. At the end your provider sets a maintenance interval based on what your face is doing rather than a fixed schedule.

What each of the two treatments asks of you

How to Care for Your Skin After triLift 2.0

After the standard treatment (nothing required)

There is no aftercare routine for the standard triLift treatment. No numbing cream went on, nothing was opened, and the skin barrier is intact. Wash your face the way you normally do, wear makeup if you want it, and go back to your usual skincare that night — retinoids and acids included. If the treated muscles feel mildly worked the next morning, that is the point of the treatment, not a problem.

After the microneedling: the first day

For the first 24 hours after the RF microneedling treatment, treat the skin as though it is healing, because it is. Cleanse once or twice with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and lukewarm water, then pat dry with a clean towel rather than rubbing. Leave off makeup, retinoids, acids, vitamin C and any scrub. If the skin feels warm or tight, a cool compress over clean fingertips is fine.

Hyaluronic acid and a bland moisturizer

From the day after your RF microneedling treatment, keep the barrier hydrated morning and night. Layer a hyaluronic acid serum onto damp skin, then seal it with a plain, fragrance-free moisturizer — nothing with acids, retinol or added actives. Hydrated skin rebuilds its surface faster and keeps the treated area from feeling tight. Reapply any time it feels dry. Simple is the goal, not an involved routine.

Daily SPF 30+ after the microneedling

Once the surface has closed, daily broad-spectrum sunscreen stops being optional. We recommend SkinBetter Science sunbetter Tone Smart SPF 75 each morning, reapplied every two hours whenever you are outdoors. A mineral formula with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide is gentlest on freshly treated skin. Incidental sun through car and office windows still drives pigment, so keep the habit well past the first week.

Leave the treated skin alone

Do not scrub, exfoliate, or work at the treated area while it settles after the RF microneedling. That means no facial brushes, no microcurrent devices, no aggressive cleansing and no picking at anything you notice on the surface. The skin is repairing micro-channels, and interfering with that is how a short recovery turns into a mark that outlasts it by months.

Nothing after the standard treatment, a few warm hours after the microneedling

What's Normal: triLift 2.0 Downtime

Normal, temporary, and part of the process.

Standard treatment (no downtime)

There is nothing to wait out after the standard triLift treatment. No numbing, no open skin, no recovery window. People book it at lunch and go back to work. If you see a faint flush from the radiofrequency stage it fades within the hour. This is the treatment to choose when you have something on the calendar and cannot afford to look treated.

Flushing and warmth (a few hours)

After the RF microneedling treatment, the treated skin looks flushed and feels warm, much like a mild sunburn, and that settles over a few hours rather than days. Most people are comfortable the same evening. Cool compresses help if it feels hot. Plan the treatment for a day when looking a little pink for the afternoon does not matter.

No bleeding, no peeling

The FibroBoost applicator uses electrodes 0.15 mm across, finer than a standard microneedling needle, so the channels it opens are very small. There is no bleeding during or after the treatment, and the skin does not peel or shed the way it does after a resurfacing laser or a deeper microneedling pass.

The first-day lift settles

Contracting the facial muscles produces a visible lift straight after a session, and that first result is temporary. It settles over the next few days. This is not the treatment failing; it is the difference between a muscle that has just been worked and a muscle that has been conditioned over a series. The lasting change builds across your five or six weekly visits.

These apply after the RF microneedling treatment

What to Avoid After triLift 2.0

Sun Exposure

After the RF microneedling treatment, keep the treated skin out of direct sun and wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning. Freshly treated skin colors easily, and sun in this window is the most common cause of lingering brown patches.

Sweating & Heat

Skip the gym, saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga and swimming for a few days after the RF microneedling treatment. Sweat and standing water both introduce bacteria into channels that have not closed yet. No restriction after the standard treatment.

Active Skincare

No retinoids, AHAs, BHAs or vitamin C for a few days after the RF microneedling treatment, then reintroduce them one at a time. After the standard triLift 2.0 treatment there is no break needed — go back to your usual routine the same night.

Makeup

Leave makeup off for the first 24 hours after the RF microneedling treatment, then keep it light until the flushing has fully settled. After the standard triLift 2.0 treatment you can put makeup straight back on and leave the appointment as you arrived.

Scrubbing & Exfoliating

Do not scrub, exfoliate or use facial brushes, microcurrent devices or firm facial massage on the treated area while it settles after the RF microneedling. Cleanse gently with your fingertips and pat dry rather than rubbing.

When to Call The Spa After triLift 2.0

Contact The Spa immediately if you experience:

After the standard triLift 2.0 treatment there is usually nothing to report. After the RF microneedling treatment, skin that looks flushed and feels warm for a few hours is expected, and so is a tight, freshly-treated feeling that evening. None of that needs a call. Reach out promptly if you notice any of the following:

  • Redness or swelling that worsens after the first day instead of steadily settling.
  • Signs of infection — pus or yellow drainage, spreading warmth, red streaking, or a fever.
  • Pain that climbs after the first few hours rather than fading, or pain out of proportion to what your provider described.
  • Blistering, a burn, or open areas anywhere in the treated area.
  • A change in skin color — dark or light patches that have not evened out as the treated skin settles.
  • Anything after a body treatment that does not match what your provider told you to expect.

During business hours, call us at (806) 701-5840. For severe symptoms outside our hours, go to the nearest urgent care or emergency room and let us know as soon as you are able. When in doubt, call — we would always rather hear from you.

FAQ

Your questions,  answered

We’ve answered some of the most common questions below to help make your experience simple, transparent, and stress-free.

triLift 2.0 is a Lumenis device that works on the muscle layer under the skin rather than only on the skin itself. We offer it as two treatments. The standard triLift treatment uses Dynamic Muscle Stimulation to contract the facial muscles that give the face its structure, with radiofrequency to firm the skin above them. A separate RF microneedling treatment works on the skin itself. triLift is used for jawline definition, the cheek and jowl line, mild to moderate wrinkles and overall firmness, and on the body for muscle tone and cellulite dimpling.

What is triLift 2.0 and what does it do?

No. triLift 2.0 uses electrical muscle stimulation and radiofrequency. There is no laser and no light involved, which is why it sits under advanced treatments here rather than with our lasers.

Is triLift 2.0 a laser?

Lumenis recommends five weekly sessions for the face and six for the body. Improvement builds across the series rather than arriving in one visit. After the series you will need maintenance sessions; your provider sets the interval at your follow-up.

How many triLift 2.0 sessions will I need?

No. The muscle stimulation feels like tapping or fluttering as the muscles contract, which is unfamiliar rather than painful, and the surface radiofrequency feels warm. The standard triLift 2.0 treatment needs no numbing at all. The separate RF microneedling treatment is done under numbing cream, applied about 30 minutes before your provider starts.

Does triLift 2.0 hurt?

It depends which treatment you have. After the standard triLift 2.0 treatment there is none: you can wear makeup and go straight back to work. After the RF microneedling treatment your skin will look flushed and feel warm for a few hours. There is no bleeding and no peeling with either one.

Is there any downtime after triLift 2.0?

No. They are two separate treatments booked as two separate appointments. The standard triLift 2.0 treatment is the muscle work: Dynamic Muscle Stimulation plus surface radiofrequency, with no numbing. The RF microneedling treatment works on the skin itself with the FibroBoost applicator and is done under numbing cream. Plenty of clients only ever have the standard treatment.

Is the RF microneedling part of every triLift 2.0 treatment?

You will usually see a lift the same day, and that first result is temporary. The lasting change accumulates over the series. Lumenis documents follow-up results at three and five months after a completed course. Because muscle tone declines without stimulation, results are maintained with periodic sessions rather than being permanent.

When will I see triLift 2.0 results and how long do they last?

Pricing is confirmed at your complimentary consultation, since it depends on which of the two triLift 2.0 treatments you need, whether you are treating the face or the body, and how many sessions your provider recommends. triLift is delivered as a series rather than a single visit. VIP members save 20% on the standard triLift treatment, and the RF microneedling treatment is included at the standard 10% member discount.

What does triLift 2.0 cost in Lubbock?

Anyone with a pacemaker, a defibrillator or any implanted electronic device, and anyone with metal implants in the area being treated, including dental implants, plates and screws. Tell your provider about any of these at consultation.

Who should not have triLift 2.0?

They do different jobs. Neurotoxin relaxes muscles to soften expression lines. Filler replaces lost volume. triLift 2.0 conditions the muscles that support the face and firms the skin over them. It does not replace either one, and many people use it alongside them.

How is triLift 2.0 different from Botox or filler?

Yes. triLift 2.0 added body treatment to the original face-only system. We treat the abdomen and glutes for muscle tone, and areas with cellulite dimpling. The body protocol is six sessions, one week apart.

Can triLift 2.0 treat the body?
