What it is

Injectables are minimally invasive treatments that use specialized products delivered through a fine needle to address specific concerns. The category spans neurotoxins (which soften muscle-related lines), dermal fillers (which restore volume and contour), biostimulators like Sculptra (which trigger your body to produce collagen), and targeted treatments like Kybella, sclerotherapy, and hyperhidrosis Botox.

What's included

Browse the individual treatment pages below for detail on each option, including what areas are treated, how long results last, and what to expect during and after your session. Cosmetic injectables typically require a consultation to plan dosing and confirm candidacy.

Neurotoxins—Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, and Xeomin—relax the muscles that create dynamic wrinkles, the lines that appear when you move your face. Fillers like Restylane, Juvederm, and RHA restore volume and contour to areas that have lost it: cheeks, lips, under-eye hollows, jawline. Most patients benefit from both, and we'll map out the right combination for your concerns at your free consultation.

What's the difference between neurotoxins and dermal fillers?

Most patients describe injectables as a quick pinch. Neurotoxin injections use ultra-fine needles and take seconds per site. For fillers and Kybella we apply topical numbing beforehand, and the products themselves contain lidocaine. If you're nervous about discomfort, tell your provider—we have several comfort techniques including ice and vibration.

Do injectables hurt?

It depends on the product. Neurotoxins last 3–4 months on average; Daxxify can extend to 6+ months. Hyaluronic acid fillers last 6–18 months depending on the area and product used. Sculptra builds collagen over 4–6 months and results last up to two years. Kybella permanently destroys the fat cells it targets. Your provider will recommend a maintenance schedule based on what you choose.

How long do injectable results last?

All injectables are performed by our licensed Aesthetic Injectors—Rebecca Fant, MSN, FNP-C and Angela Hunsaker, RN—under the medical direction of Patricia Arledge, MD, our board-certified plastic surgeon Medical Director. Texas Medical Board rules require physician oversight for injectable treatments, and we exceed that standard.

Who performs injectable treatments at The Spa by Sheena?

Injectable pricing by category. Neurotoxins (per unit): Botox $14, Xeomin $14, Daxxify $7, Dysport $5. Fillers (per syringe): $550–$1,100 depending on product. Sculptra: $850 per vial. Kybella: $650 per syringe. Most treatments use multiple units or syringes—your provider calculates total cost at your appointment based on what you actually need. Members receive discounted pricing across all injectables.

What do injectables cost in Lubbock?

Most healthy adults over 18 are candidates. Reasons we'd recommend waiting or skipping treatment include: pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infection at the injection site, certain autoimmune conditions, or recent dental work in the treatment area. We screen for all of it during consultation—and we'll never push a treatment that isn't right for you.

Am I a candidate for injectables?

Skip alcohol, fish oil, ibuprofen, and aspirin for 48 hours before treatment—they thin the blood and increase bruising. Arnica supplements starting a few days before help reduce bruising. Come with a clean face. Bring your questions. If you take prescription blood thinners, talk to your provider first—don't stop without their guidance.

What should I do before an injectable appointment?

Wait 24 hours before strenuous exercise, hot yoga, saunas, or facials. Light walking is fine. The reason: heat and pressure can move filler before it integrates, and they can spread neurotoxin to unintended areas in the first 24 hours.

Can I exercise after injectables?

Neurotoxin softens over 3–4 months naturally—it's temporary. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be reversed within 24 hours using hyaluronidase (Hylenex), which we offer in-house. Sculptra and Kybella are not reversible, which is why we're conservative with those treatments. We won't proceed with anything you're not 100% sure about, and we'd rather do less than risk overcorrection.

What if I don't love the result?

Neurotoxin starts working in 4–7 days and reaches full effect at 14 days. Filler is visible immediately, with the final shape settling after about 2 weeks once any swelling resolves. Sculptra builds gradually with full results visible at 8 to 12 weeks. Kybella results may be seen as early as 4 to 6 weeks per session, with full results from a series of up to 6 sessions visible at 12 weeks after the last treatment.

How quickly will I see results?

That's a function of who's injecting. Our team is trained to enhance, not exaggerate. The goal is "rested and refreshed"—people noticing you look great without knowing why. If you want a more dramatic result, we'll have that conversation upfront and tell you what's realistic. The aesthetic matches you, not the other way around.
