What it is
Waxing removes hair at the root for longer-lasting smoothness than shaving—typically 3 to 4 weeks before noticeable regrowth. We offer waxing services from face to body, men and women welcome.
What to expect
Each appointment runs 15 to 60 minutes depending on the area. The sensation is brief discomfort at each pull, followed by quick relief. Sensitive areas (Brazilian, bikini) feel more intense; less sensitive areas (legs, arms) are very tolerable.
Mild redness and slight swelling for an hour or two post-wax is normal. Some pin-point bumps may appear; these resolve within a day.
Skip hot baths, hot tubs, and saunas for 24 hours. Skip exercise (especially sweat-inducing) for 24 hours. Exfoliate gently starting 2 to 3 days post-wax to prevent ingrown hairs. Use a mild moisturizer.
What we offer
Range of $15 to $145 across services. Face: lip, brow, chin, sides, full face. Body: underarms, arms, legs, bikini line, Brazilian, back, chest. Specific pricing for each service available at booking.
Benefits
SMOOTH SKIN
Removes hair at the root for 3 to 4 weeks of smoothness versus 1 to 2 days from shaving.
FINER REGROWTH
Hair grows back softer and finer with consistent waxing over months.
PROFESSIONAL TECHNIQUE
Trained estheticians use hard wax on sensitive areas to minimize discomfort and avoid skin irritation.
ALL AREAS
Face, brows, underarms, bikini, Brazilian, legs, back, and chest—men and women welcome.
CONFIDENCE
Smooth, ready-anytime skin for vacations, special events, or daily comfort.
Good to know
Recommended every 4 to 6 weeks. Hair must be at least ¼ inch (about 2 weeks of growth) to wax effectively. Skin can be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. Mild redness or bumps for 24 hours is normal. Don't shave between sessions—it disrupts the cycle. Waxing safe throughout pregnancy with extra care for sensitivity.
The treatment
Sessions run 15 to 60 minutes by area. We use hard wax on sensitive areas (Brazilian, underarms) to minimize discomfort and avoid skin irritation. Strip wax for larger body areas. Brief discomfort during each pull—first-time waxing is more uncomfortable than subsequent sessions as hair finishes finer with consistent waxing.
Face: upper lip, chin, sides, full face, brow. Body: underarms, half arm, full arm, half leg, full leg, bikini line, Brazilian, back, chest. We use professional hard wax for sensitive areas and strip wax for larger body areas.
What waxing services do you offer?
First-time waxing is more uncomfortable than subsequent sessions because the hair is at its thickest and follicles are most resistant. Regular waxers experience progressively less discomfort over months—the hair grows back finer. Sensitive areas (Brazilian, underarms) are more painful than face. We use techniques to minimize discomfort.
Does waxing hurt?
Every 4–6 weeks. Hair needs to be at least ¼ inch (about 2 weeks of growth) to wax effectively. Maintaining a regular schedule means less hair to remove each time and less discomfort. Skipping months means longer hair and a more uncomfortable session.
How often should I get waxed?
Waxing ranges $15–$145 depending on the area. Pricing for each service is available at booking. Members receive discounted pricing.
How much does waxing cost in Lubbock?
We strongly recommend against shaving between waxes. Shaving cuts hair at the surface and the regrowth is blunt—when you wax, the wax needs to grab the actual hair, not stubble. Shaving also restarts the cycle of coarse regrowth. Stick with waxing consistently for finer regrowth and better long-term results.
Can I shave between waxing appointments?
Typically 3–4 weeks of smoothness before noticeable regrowth. Faster on the face, slower on legs. Consistent waxing over months can extend results as hair regrowth becomes finer and less dense.
How long does waxing last?
Yes—waxing is safe throughout pregnancy. Skin can be more sensitive during pregnancy, so the same wax may feel more uncomfortable than pre-pregnancy. Communicate with your aesthetician about sensitivity levels.
Can I wax during pregnancy?
Some patients experience temporary redness or small bumps for 12–24 hours after waxing—normal inflammation that resolves. True breakouts post-wax are uncommon. We provide post-wax care recommendations (exfoliation, moisturizer) to minimize bumps and ingrown hairs.
Will waxing make my skin break out?
Yes—wear a fresh tampon to the appointment. Skin is more sensitive during your cycle, so the wax may feel more uncomfortable than usual. Many waxers prefer to schedule mid-cycle for maximum comfort.
Can I get a Brazilian wax during my period?
Book online or call (806) 701-5840. First-time waxers: we recommend an in-person consult first if you have skin sensitivities. Most appointments available within a week.
