What to expect

You've just had your wellness injection — whether that was NAD+, Lipo-Mino, B12, or a combination. Most patients can return to their day immediately. The guidance below addresses the injection site itself, plus the hydration and rest considerations that support how your body uses these nutrients.

Why this matters

These injections deliver concentrated nutrients directly into muscle tissue, bypassing the gut. Mild flushing, warmth, or fatigue afterward is common — especially with NAD+ — because the active compound is engaging your body's metabolic and repair pathways. Hydration helps your body distribute and use the nutrients; alcohol works against absorption in the hours after injection.

Aftercare restrictions

1

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours following treatment.

2

Avoid alcohol for 48 hours following treatment.

3

You may also wish to limit caffeine for 24 hours.

Post care

  • Keep the injection site clean and dry for the remainder of the day.

  • If soreness or swelling develops at the injection site, apply a cool compress for up to 15 minutes at a time.

  • Drink plenty of water for the next 24–48 hours to support absorption and minimize side effects.

  • Eat a nutrient-dense meal following your injection to support energy and recovery.

Downtime

  • Mild soreness, redness, or bruising at the injection site is normal and typically resolves within 24–48 hours.
  • Flushing, warmth, mild fatigue, headache, or lightheadedness may occur and typically resolve within a few hours.

FAQ

Your questions,  answered

We’ve answered some of the most common questions below to help make your experience simple, transparent, and stress-free.

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme present in every cell in your body, critical for energy production, DNA repair, and cellular signaling. NAD+ levels decline with age and stress. Boosting NAD+ supports mitochondrial function, energy, mental clarity, athletic recovery, and metabolic health.

What is NAD+ and what does it do?

We offer NAD+ as a subcutaneous injection—a quick shot rather than a multi-hour IV. Subcutaneous NAD+ delivers similar benefits to IV without the time investment or the discomfort some patients experience with NAD+ IVs. Most patients feel benefits within 24–48 hours.

How is NAD+ administered?

Common reported benefits: increased energy, improved mental clarity and focus, better mood, improved sleep quality, faster recovery from exercise, and overall sense of well-being. Some patients notice subtle changes; others notice dramatic improvement. Response varies with baseline NAD+ levels, age, and lifestyle.

What benefits will I notice from NAD+?

Most patients start with weekly injections for 4–6 weeks to build levels, then drop to every 2–4 weeks for maintenance. Patients with high stress, athletic training, or specific recovery needs may benefit from more frequent dosing. We'll customize the schedule based on your goals.

How often should I get NAD+ injections?

Mild stinging during injection (NAD+ itself has some pH-related sensation). Lasts seconds. The injection takes a moment. Most patients tolerate well. If you've had NAD+ IV before and found it uncomfortable, the subcutaneous version is generally much better tolerated.

Does NAD+ injection hurt?

NAD+ Therapy is $75 per injection. Package pricing available for the loading phase. Membership pricing reduces per-injection cost.

How much does NAD+ cost in Lubbock?

NAD+ is a naturally occurring molecule in your body—supplementation is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. Side effects are typically limited to brief flushing or warmth during injection. Patients with certain medical conditions should discuss with their provider before starting.

Is NAD+ safe?

Indirectly. NAD+ supports cellular processes that decline with age—particularly DNA repair, mitochondrial function, and sirtuin activity (proteins involved in longevity pathways). Research is actively expanding in this area. Patients often report 'feeling younger' in terms of energy and recovery, which is the practical anti-aging benefit.

Can NAD+ help with anti-aging?

Oral NAD+ supplements (like NR or NMN) have limited absorption—much of an oral dose is broken down in digestion before reaching cells. Injection bypasses this and delivers usable NAD+ directly. Oral supplements have a role for general support; injections produce more dramatic and reliable effects.

Should I take NAD+ orally instead?

Book a wellness consultation. We'll discuss your goals (energy, recovery, cognitive support), determine whether NAD+ or another wellness service is the best fit, and design a schedule. Most patients add NAD+ to their existing wellness routine. Call (806) 701-5840 or book online.
